Haller & Colvin is proud to announce that Daniel J. Skekloff and Scot T. Skekloff have joined the firm, both as partners. Dan began practicing law in 1979, and is admitted to practice in the State of Indiana, and Scot began practicing law in 1991, and is also admitted to practice in the State of Indiana.
Both Dan and Scot have focused their practice in the areas of corporate restructuring and reorganization; Chapter 11 representation; creditors’ rights, bankruptcy law; and commercial law and litigation.
Dan Skekloff has extensive experience in the representation of Chapter 11 debtors-in-possession, trustees, landlords, purchasers and other secured and unsecured parties in both bankruptcy and out of court proceedings. He has a Martindale-Hubbell rating of AV® Preeminent™ (5.0 out of 5) and selection as one of the 2012 Indiana Top Rated Lawyers®.
Scot Skekloff has widespread knowledge in the representation of clients in all chapters of the Bankruptcy Code including Chapter 11, 12, 13 and Chapter 7. He also has experience in representing bankruptcy trustees as well as secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy cases. In addition, he has assisted clients with business entity formation, sales and acquisitions. He has a Martindale-Hubbell rating of AV® Preeminent™ and selection as one of the 2013 Indiana Top Rated Lawyers®. Mr. Skekloff was recognized in the August 2012 issue of Fort Wayne Monthly “Top Lawyers” in the area of Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights.
Additionally, both Dan and Scot have represented official unsecured creditors’ committees in Chapter 11 cases, as well as other financial institutions.
