Faith Welch appointed as a Chapter 11 Subchapter V Trustee for the Southern District of Indiana Bankruptcy Court

Since joining HallerColvin in August of 2021, Faith has been building a foundation in bankruptcy law under the mentorship of Attorney Scot Skekloff. Such experience has prepared her for appointment as a Chapter 11 Subchapter V Trustee. Subchapter V allows small businesses and small business owners to reorganize through a Chapter 11 bankruptcy plan, with shortened deadlines and lower administrative costs. In every Subchapter V case, a Subchapter V Trustee is appointed by the Department of Justice from a pool of qualified bankruptcy professionals, based upon their knowledge or experience with the debtor’s type of business. Trustees work under the supervision of the office of the United States Trustee (DOJ) and are meant to assist the bankruptcy court in oversight of the case.
